With Stephen Steinhaus in particular tapping into deeply resonant personal ties to the State of the same name, and Andy Bunn’s delicate, beautiful musicianship, Blood on Blood present a stripped back reimaging of Springsteen’s esteemed opus NEBRASKA, with little more than guitar, vocal and harmonica.
The duo has created a haunting, surprisingly spiritual retelling of the Nebraska album that pulls elements of country, americana, gospel and rock – into a spellbinding showcase of some of Springsteen’s darkest and most personal songs, giving them new light and presence and reinvigorating them for a modern audience.
Having made their debut at the renowned Upton Blues festival main acoustic stage in 2023, the duo have since wowed in two sold-out showcases in Leamington Spa’s celebrated Temperance Bar, and are now taking the project on the road for audiences far and wide.
